Worthy members holding proper priesthood authority can bestow the gift of the Holy Ghost on baptized members by the laying on of hands.

1-3. What do you remember from your experience of being  confirmed and receiving the gift of Holy Ghost? How has the gift of the Holy Ghost been a blessing in your life?

What does it mean when a priesthood holder says in an ordinance or blessing that he does these things "in the name of Jesus Christ?" Why do the priesthood holders pray before they perform an ordinance or give a blessing? Why do you think they're told to do that? Who does the priesthood holder represent when he performs an ordinance or gives a blessing?
